He's askin' 7Grand for a '99 VFR800... BARGAIN!
ANZAC Day Adventures <<Archive of Alpine Adventures
Yeah, spotted the link in his signature. Nice looking bike - I'd like a closer look if it were in Christchurch. If I was to be brutally honest though, I consider it to be a touch more money than I want to spend on an NC30. Have seen stock looking examples in apparantly good nick go for under $4k before. Granted that's not very common, but I'm in no hurry anyway. Good luck with the sale anyway Morcs
That VFR800 looks to be a bargain too. Must... keep... wallet.... away......

Thought I would join this club in appreciaton of the vfr.
Usually Im a lurker and don't post much.
See my profile pic.
I fell in love with my new bike at first sight and as I am a novice rider I know little or nothing much about all the bits that make her run. She sounds very nice though. Ive only riden her once due to her needing to be vinned so no plate as yet etc, and bank account is slowly decreasing.
BIG thanks here to The Stranger with help with know how and work done getting her roadworthy.
Im looking forward to riding her and finding out more about the vfr. This one has been modified with a rvf engine.
Hope you fans can appreciate her.

the do sound awesome dont they
my old horse isn't the tidiest but it aint bad and i bought it of trade me without ever riding it or even hearing what the V4s sounded like. Needless to say, when i picked her up and started her for the first time...i was in wow land....i dont think its a stock exhaust (but i could be wrong) but i just didnt expect such an impressive growl from a lil ol' 400!!
i reckon it sounds the best when you start winding her on in 2nd as you come out of a corner, from about 3thou up to about 10 it just sounds awesome (*sniff* i wish i could share it with you all)
i bought it to get back into biking and because it was cheap...i kinda had a plan to find another GPz900R like I had a few moons back, but now im definitely on the prowl for a VFR750 (with an aftermarket exhaust of course)

If you want a 750, the best is spozed to be the 4th Generation (94-97). It's the one with the NACA ducts on the sides of the fairing. I think there was one for sale on KB recently.
I almost bought a 700, but ended up with a Granite Blue Metallic (looks black, but has blue metallic flakes in the paint) 3rd gen (90-93) ex-Japan model.
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....
I would say my gpx sounds like a chainsaw compared to the vfr which is a much more throaty sound and one to be happy to hear when starting her up.

Mikey27 & Earthbound misfit, they are a couple of beautiful looking bikes. Well done to you both.
Earthbound misfit, I can't wait to see yours on the road!
Thanks,
Fingers crossed it will pass vinning, its at Henderson Motorcycles at the moment getting a few things done then the next step is to get out and ride it and get some more practice time in.
