    Apparently the designer got an idea from looking at Tokyo traffic lights, two columns of four lights each. It might have been a more succesful GP bike if it had been a more conventional bike with a new untried motor, rather than the rest of the new ideas (monocoque frame, 16 inch wheels) that were tried along with the new motor . The very succcessful 6 cylinder GP bike of the 60s was absolutely conventional other than the engine
    it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
    those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

    Maybe they should have just stopped trying to push an inappropriate technology for racing irrespectiveof pistonshape, in fact that's exactly what they had to do. Until some clown suggested that sanctioned cheating was acceptable and doubled the engine capacity.
