Where are all the bounty hunters?

With $80k up for grabs and a lot of screwed up lotto tickets from the last fortnight how many are heading to the king country to try and flush out tom Phillips and his 3 kids and claim $80k?

haven't seen the poster yet, does it say dead or alive?

The region could get a little feral for a short time......

I had a quick look as I went thru marokopa on my crusty farmers ride a couple of months back but he must've ducked behind some trees as we went past.
I would have put more effort in had I known about the prize money!

It's one thing to screw up your own life. But how will any of those kids get back to any sort of normality? Wot a prick.

It’s a wonder some kind of AI analysis of local spending practices hasn’t been used to pick them up in such small population. No matter who the accomplice is surely they will be making extra purchases and treats/ice creams etc forvthe kids.

I’d say cops prob already zeroed in on suspect location. Use of the media is often to panic the suspect into movement whether it’s physical or electronic eg a phone suddenly searching train tickets etc.

And $80k what’s up with that??? 50 was too cheap and a 100 is too much????

The end result of a complex calculation incl Budget, visible public spending and the possibility of a Parliamentary question.

And of course the extreme unliklihood of having to pay it out. The locals helping him won't give him away.

Yep and like anything we are prob not privy to the real story and reasons of his actions.

Reward payouts that’s one thing that’s never publicly audited. They’d be few situations where the dobber-in would want to be publicly known. I wonder if you have to pay tax?

I know someone who comes from down that way. His comment was the cops are pissed off because they can't find him and are hoping that it will get someone to talk.

This seems like a real life "Hunt for the Wilderpeople"!

There might be some complicated psychology in play here - or not. The police moved into a relatively isolated rural area seeking the assistance of the local populace and some genius thought it was a good idea to repeatedly breath test those same people?

"But now there were growing frustrations, with locals repeatedly being breathalysed."

    Way to go.

well the police haven't really been seen to do much, the bloke is one thing, but taking three kids out of the circle of life for that long has got to have some effect on them learning.
one wonders whoever is financing this is dealing with something that has gone on for several years by now, feeding four can't be cheap, and maybe one of the kids is gonna want to see the real world one day, or have maccas etc? if they are in a hutt what is their diet like without a freezer etc.
be interesting sin the end to see how they all survive

I'm picking at least one of the kids will want to go back to school - and at least one won't want to socialise with their peer group.

Good way to screw your kids up for life.
