Got a rude shock this morning. An email from Dorna advising that I'll be paying their sub by auto renewal on 27/2/24. A bad start to the day. I don't like auto renewals. The instructions on how to cancel an auto renewal are in the FAQs and that chore is done now. It's about $245 and that's above my impulse spend limit.

I've just seen the same message. Still no news on whether we will get it from TVNZ or Sky?

    Thank you for the reminder.
I just cancelled my auto renew so I can decide at the latest time.

Copied off the site if you need it

You will be able to cancel the auto-renewal of your MotoGP™ VideoPass by following these steps (remember to log in first):
    - Click on your username on the upper right corner of the homepage and then My Account. Once there, select the Subscriptions option.
    - Click "View Details" under your current subscription, and use the "Disable Automatic Renewal" button to cancel.
You may use the "Enable Automatic Renewal" button at any moment should you change your mind, thus allowing the automatic renewal to take place at its due date.
This applies for all Season VideoPass purchased from our website. For other types of subscriptions purchased in the different app stores, please check the automatic renewal status in your profile in the stores themselves.
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

They pulled a shifty one a few years back, offered all the off season stuff for $1 and the less aware of us hit go without seeing the opt out auto renewal. Got a call from wife asking WTF was this charge on our account just before the season started.

I wrote them a very pissed off letter and advised how such things are in a bit of a legal grey area in the developed world and that they best be fucking giving me a refund and got one.

    Any news on TVNZ+?

That'll be the last straw for grumpy grandad !!!!

The MotoGP website still shows TVNZ as the broadcaster, but still nothing on TVNZ+. We'll know soon...

Davide Tardozzi Ducati: “if Pecco Bagnaia wins tҺe tҺird title by beating Marc Marquez witҺ tҺe Ducati, Һe will reacҺ Olympus, so it is a cҺallenge to taƙe up”
Which I think is a crock o shit. If PB does NOT win and MM does PB is a loser. He's ridden the Duc for a few years, is WC on it, and its faster and has the latest tech. If MM is even in the race for the championship it will be a miracle, the suggestion that he might even be in the top 2 just shows what respect he has.

I have a feeling the top 4 will be Martin, Pecco, Enea, and MM. Cameos from Binder and Vinales. I cant help but think though that MM will push the Ducati further than the others, and that might force them to ride outside their normal zone, and that might make things interesting. I'm expecting a few offs, and I dont necessarily think it will be MM who crashes

Agree. Pit stops take away the strategy side of the race.People dont always like it but tyre management(and machine management) is part of racing So Alvaro is hit with two empediments, the weight thing and the tyre pit stops. The pit stops must be a mimimum of 1 minute so they have taken away any opportunity for a good pit stop to be able to win a place. It sounds like its now a thing

As of 23 Feb Sky was still saying No.

Spark had the rights until 2024 so if it's anywhere, it will probably be on TVNZ+.

I would like to agree mate, but every car orientated organization that I can remember taking over promotional rights for motorcycle racing have run it into the ground. Case in point, the AMA series never made a full recovery when they got taken over by nascar and then resold later.

I seriously hope NOT. Liberty have basically milked F1 for every dollar they can.
They've turned it into a rubbish spectacle.
And all the F1 style things Dorna have tried - sprint races for one - have made MotoGP worse.
