$10,000 does seem a little behind the $$$ 8 ball compared with the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure and it's feature / spec loading.
Regards Kevin
Does anyone have updated info on when these arrive in country?
i'd be really interested in either the standard or rally but my local shops don't have demos. They'll order you one but who on earth would commit without having seen, touched or tested one.
Its a big risk for experienced riders that it could be too underpowered. Would welcome owner opinion
If not already, check out Itchy Boots channel on teh tube.
She's riding a CRF 300 rally from South America to Alaska. Seems to be doing sterling service.
Manopausal.
Also MAD TV on YouTube in Oz have bought one for long term testing - they mention how hard they are to find over there as well.

Moe: Well, I'm better than dirt. Well, most kinds of dirt. I mean not that fancy store bought dirt. That stuffs loaded with nutrients. I...I can't compete with that stuff.- The Simpsons
Yep. I'm subscribed. How easy it looked for her to get that bike and test ride a CRF450 just for a laugh!
It's probably rude to ask a lady but wonder what her stats are, height, weight, inseam?
I'm 5ft 8in, 70kgs, 29inch inseam, so I'm guessing her opinion and experience of the CRF300L is quite relevant.
I'm also getting too old to kick start my XT400. I need either a modern CRF300L or a KTM 390 Adventure.
I have watched Itchy boots on that bike, don't forget she has done a full suspension replacement, would have cost a fortune.
Only a Rat can win a Rat Race!
I'm pretty sure her stats are on her website, she puts up a lot of background info on other platforms.
Get that XT400 into a local Vinduro! Always quite a few folk having a lie down before they start kicking the bike over again.
I never nude that, cheers.

Sure Miss Boots is carrying everything but the kitchen sink with her. I plan on little trips round the block so literally no baggage.
I reckon the factory setup will suit my intended use.
Does she though? No camping gear, cooking gear and so on as in all the episodes I have seen, she always stays in accommodation and eats at restaurants (some pretty loosely defined as such), no doubt the laptop, drone, batteries and spare gas count for something.

it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

There's lots of fun to be had on small bikes. That said small 2 strokes always feel more fun at the limit than a wheezing foul stroke.
The big thing I think is if you are trying to keep up with other people.
If you aren't, then you can go at your own pace and the only pressure is what you place on yourself. If you can Zen the fuk out of it then you will have fun plodding about.
It seems to me that there will always be compromise at each end of the spectrum.
Do you avoid exploring that single-track because you know you will do yourself an injury trying to pick up a 650? Or will you smugly care not as people pass you on the road?
Have fun. Always have fun.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
