    2000 DRZ400e , 2004 RM250 USD Showa fork conversion

Is it as straight forward as getting a front end ( clamps , forks , axle or is there more to it ?

    Cheers

get the entire front end if you can, wheel, disk, caliper, axle, as well as the forks and triples. Goes easier when all the parts are designed to work together. Also compare steering head bearing sizes and steering head lengths. Will the DRZ headlight bracket, instrument mountings fit the RM top clamp? When I did the KLR USD conversion it was easier because the lights and clocks mounted in the fairing. Does the DRZ ignition switch incorporate a steering lock - how will that mount? Are the RM springs suitable for the extra weight of the DRZ?

the DRZ cartridge forks are supposed to be pretty good, often use to improve the front of DR650s
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Probably easier just getting some USD fork from the 400SM.

look up here for the sizes of bearings etc
    https://www.allballsracing.com/forkconversion
They are the same So its just the length of the stem to consider if the RM one is longer you can space if its short you might need to swap the stems
plus the other detail stuff mentioned but remeber stuff like speedo and discs matching hubs etc
the DRz is alo heavier than the RM but as i doubt you will be doing MX.

pretty sure if you google rm forks onto DRZ you will get hits as for the year changes to the RM's
Have a look here for what fits what.

it also give a lot of valuable info for axels sixes etc

    2000 RM is
    49MM CHROME OD - C/L 37 1/4"
    axle is AXLE ID 20MM & 25MM
    triple clamps are the same 96-00 RM125 & RM250
    Front caliper is the same 97-06 RM125 RM250, & 06 RM250Z
it looks like 96-2007 disc rotors fit either
