Climate change being the end of the world (when the world will no doubt carry on regardless), the UN taking over the world (when it’s about as effective as a wet bus ticket), socialism/communism taking over the world (having grown up in the Cold War that’s one that makes even less sense to me these days), not being able to accept that modern medicine is never 100% effective (and therefore discounting proven treatments because of statistically small failure rates) and so on.
I guess deep in our squishy brains we’re always expecting a sabre tooth tiger to jump out from behind another rock.
I agree on most, although the Socialism one - there's a generation that grew up with no memory of the Cold War, taught by Teachers/Professors who are devotees of Marx.
