Any good bike electricians in Christchurch?

Anyone recommend a good bike sparky in Christchurch? The WR250 is not charging the battery any more, battery load tested ok.

If the battery is fine as you said then:

It's either the wire (or plugs) connecting the stator to the reg/rec or the reg/rec to the battery (they'll be black and crispy).

    Or the reg/rec has failed.

    Or the stator has failed.

I can diagnose/install parts for a box of beer?

edit: this guy know's what's up.

If you have a multimeter its quite easy to test the different parts of the charging system.
Find a copy of the service manual (if you dont already), it should show you how to test it and what volt/amps/ohms should have.

Thanks for the replies, I ended up checking stator and reg/rec prices through Trev the Yamaha Dealer, parts cost about as expected, stator a little cheaper if anything, decided stuff it and just gave it to them to sort.
