    Engagement/wedding/normal rings and gloves?

    Heya all

I am in the process of getting a new engagement ring designed (broke my last one -_-) and in the meantime I'm wearing a band thats fairly thick and the same size all the way around.

Does anyone else feel like their finger is losing blood circulation when they wear rings and gloves? The ring is not too tight. If anything it's too loose. I have a feeling that it has to do with the fact that the ring is too wide.

What is your experience? What do you do? Leave them on when you ride or take it off everytime you ride?

I don't ride with any jewellery on. Gloves don't feel comfortable with rings on and helmet not great with earrings.

I wear mine under gloves no problems, its reasonably wide at 8mm. doesn't give me any problems racing or road riding and my gloves are pretty tight too. I don't wear it weekdays because of work so its always a bit funny 1st 5min on weekends but then all good.

My first ring was pretty wide and not that tight and was fine. Then again I was used to holding onto things with a ring on like a rowing oar and handle bars. New ring is slightly narrower but is looser and I still don't have a problem.

It just comes down to what you get used to.

And wearing them also doesn't cause any more injuries if you come off. They just bend and then you can use them for really expensive key rings

Don't wear your rings outside your gloves. Other bikers aren't that interested in your marital status and the circulation in your finger should improve dramatically.

I'm a woman. I'm like a magpie. Not wearing sparkly things outside where they can go *sparkle sparkle* is not an option for me.

So you think stirts was referring to bling? Well I see they now make dishwashing gloves with their own external bling so perhaps you can source some Mcycle gloves with built on rings, as in jewellery

I tend not to wear much in the way of jewellery when I ride. My engagement and eternity rings are too small now to wear anyway, but I tended to find any stone which is set above a band awkward inside gloves. Rings which are a band only - kinda depends on the edge and width as to whether or not they cut into the skin between my fingers. Each is different.

    Google image the word Degloving

Then decide if you want to wear a ring, or get one tattooed onto your finger.

His Opal is, and will always be, of the Menilite variety - brown and impure.
